# FAQ

> Is it safe, can I get banned, will it run on my PC, how much it costs and how to get started: answers about Rise before you start.

Canonical: https://risefps.com.br/en/duvidas

Everything you want to know before you start, in a few lines.

## Is it safe?

It shows what changes, applies only after your click, keeps the previous value and reverts in one click. No kernel driver, nothing touched inside the game.

## Can I get banned?

Rise doesn’t inject anything into the game or touch the anti-cheat. The optimizations live in Windows, the graphics card and your peripherals.

## Will it work on my PC?

Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11, desktop or laptop, any graphics card. No Mac, Linux or Windows Server.

## Why does Windows say "Unknown publisher"?

Rise still ships without a code signing certificate, and without one Windows warns about any program. Only download from your account.

## Is there a free plan?

No. There are two plans, Basic and Premium, with prices on the plans page. On your first purchase, you have 7 days to change your mind.

## Basic or Premium?

Basic: your whole PC on autopilot. Premium: everything in Basic plus per-game optimizations, presets and Competitive Mode.

## How do I pay?

Card from any country (renews automatically) or, in Brazil, PIX (one-time, no renewal). Monthly, semiannual or yearly.

## What if I change my mind?

Within 7 days of your first purchase, we refund the full amount, no reason needed.

## Is it safe?

Rise only changes what you reviewed, keeps the value from before, checks after applying and reverts in one click. And there’s a list of things it won’t do even if you ask.

### Rise never

- **Uses its own kernel driver.** Loading one means turning off Windows signature enforcement, which locks you out of Vanguard, FACEIT and EAC.
- **Uses a known vulnerable driver,** like WinRing0, which is already on Microsoft’s blocklist.
- **Injects code into the game or touches the anti-cheat.**
- **Downloads programs from unofficial sources.** Drivers and BIOS only come from manufacturer websites, with the signature checked.
- **Writes firmware on its own.** BIOS updates only go through the manufacturer’s official updater.

### Rise always

- **Shows what changes first,** and only applies it after your click.
- **Keeps the previous value** and checks after applying. If it doesn’t confirm, it undoes it.
- **Revert all in one click,** on any plan.
- **Creates a Windows restore point** before applying optimizations and before installing a driver.
- **Leaves alone** the system, your antivirus, the anti-cheat, audio, Discord and the game itself.

## Will it work on my PC?

### What Rise needs

- **Windows 10 version 22H2** (build 19045 or newer) or Windows 11 (build 22000 or newer), editions for personal computers.
- **Administrator access,** to adjust Windows and keep the previous value.
- **Internet** to sign in to your account. Optimizations stay in effect with Rise closed.
- **Any graphics card.** Rise only shows what applies to yours: NVIDIA, AMD, Intel or integrated graphics.
- **Laptops too.** They get their own Rise power plan.

- macOS, Linux and Windows Server aren’t supported.
- Windows 10 older than 22H2: Rise opens, shows the diagnosis and reverts, but doesn’t apply anything. Update through Windows Update.

## How to get started

Prices are on the plans page. Pick your plan, install it and see what’s holding your PC back. On Discord, you hear about Rise news first.

1. **Pick your plan.** Rise Basic or Rise Premium, by card or PIX.
2. **Sign in to your account.** Don’t have one yet? It’s created when you buy, with your email.
3. **Download the installer.** Only from your account on the official website.
4. **Get past the Windows warning.** More info, Run anyway, then Yes. Expected without a code signing certificate.
5. **See the diagnosis.** Rise reads your PC without changing anything and shows what applies.
6. **Measure, optimize, measure again.** The result that counts is the one measured on your PC.

## Does Rise measure or just promise?

It measures. The Rise Benchmark runs the same 3D scene before and after the optimizations and compares score, average FPS, 1% low and stutters. It’s in both plans, with a Light profile for integrated graphics.

The gain depends on the PC: the more power-saving plans, heavy background programs and bad settings there are, the more there is to fix. The Rise Benchmark measures before and after, so you see the result on your own PC. On Premium, match reports measure FPS in game.

No gain number appears on the website as a promise.

## All questions

### What Rise is

#### What does Rise do, in one sentence?

It reads your PC, explains what’s holding performance back, fixes it after you review the changes and measures the result, and every optimization reverts in one click.

#### What doesn’t Rise do?

It doesn’t promise FPS numbers, doesn’t change your internet, doesn’t apply anything without your click, doesn’t close programs unless you ask, doesn’t touch anything inside the game and doesn’t run on Mac, Linux or Windows Server.

#### Do I need to keep Rise open?

Not for the optimizations: they stay in effect with Rise closed. Rise Alert, Competitive Mode and scheduled cleanups need it running in the system tray. It starts with Windows by default, and you can change that in Settings.

#### Does it work in every game? What about CS2, VALORANT, FiveM?

Windows, graphics card and peripheral optimizations apply to any game. Game-specific profiles (like the CS2 video settings) exist for some titles and are labeled in the app.

#### What leaves my PC?

PC readings and process names stay on your PC. Usage data only leaves with "Send usage data" turned on, in Settings. Social features (PCs like yours, Friends live, Ranking) start off and show a preview before sending anything.

### Safety and bans

#### Is it a virus? Why does Windows say "Unknown publisher"?

No. Rise still ships without a code signing certificate, and without one Windows warns about any program, not just Rise. Always download from your account on the official website and, if you want, compare the SHA-256 published in Downloads.

Rise asks for administrator access because it adjusts Windows, and it keeps the previous value of every optimization so you can go back.

→ [How to install, step by step](https://risefps.com.br/en/suporte/instalar-o-rise)

#### Can I get banned in games with anti-cheat?

Rise doesn’t inject anything into the game and doesn’t touch the anti-cheat: the optimizations live in Windows, the graphics card and your peripherals. Competitive Mode detects Vanguard, EAC and BattlEye and backs off anything that could conflict. Even so, no optimizer can promise immunity: each game’s rules have the final word.

#### Does Rise turn off Defender or other Windows protections?

Never on its own. Turning off Defender, VBS or CPU mitigations only affects your PC, so it exists as your choice: it lives in Advanced, outside the automatic plan, with the risk explained, your consent every time and a one-click way back. Some anti-cheats need these protections on, and Rise tells you.

#### Does Rise change the BIOS or install drivers?

Only with your click and only through official channels. Drivers come from Windows Update or the NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Realtek or Acer website, with the manufacturer’s signature checked, a restore point first and the previous driver recorded so you can go back. In the BIOS, Rise only changes what the manufacturer officially exposes; where there’s no interface, it shows you the steps to do it yourself.

#### What if something goes wrong?

Every optimization reverts in one click, and Revert all undoes them all at once, on any plan. If an optimization doesn’t confirm after it’s applied, Rise undoes it on its own. And support is on Discord.

→ [Guide: revert an optimization](https://risefps.com.br/en/suporte/reverter-uma-alteracao) · [Ask on Discord](https://discord.gg/bUYPDUDpFX)

### My PC

#### Which Windows versions does Rise support?

Windows 10 version 22H2 (build 19045 or newer) and Windows 11 (build 22000 or newer), in the editions for personal computers. To check yours, press Windows + R, type winver and press Enter.

#### Does it work on a laptop or a lower-end PC?

Yes. The diagnosis only shows what applies to your hardware, laptops get their own Rise power plan and the Benchmark has a Light profile for integrated graphics. On hardware at its limit, the gain usually shows up more as stability.

#### My Windows is older. Now what?

On Windows 10 older than 22H2, Rise opens, shows the diagnosis and reverts what’s already applied, but it doesn’t apply new optimizations. Update through Windows Update and open Rise again.

#### Is there a Mac or Linux version?

No. Rise is built for Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 for personal computers. macOS, Linux and Windows Server aren’t supported.

### Plans

#### Does Rise have a free plan?

No. Rise has two plans: Rise Basic and Rise Premium, with prices on the plans page. On your first purchase, you have 7 days to back out with a full refund.

→ [Compare plans](https://risefps.com.br/en#planos)

#### What’s the difference between Basic and Premium?

Basic reads and explains your PC and puts your whole PC on the automatic plan: Windows, graphics card, network, mouse and keyboard, maintenance, the Rise Alert Fix it and driver installs. Premium has everything in Basic and adds per-game optimization, presets, Creator Configs, Competitive Mode, match reports and schedules.

→ [Compare plans](https://risefps.com.br/en#planos)

#### Can I try Basic before paying?

There’s no trial period. On your first purchase, you have 7 days to back out with a full refund, no reason needed. Before you subscribe, see the app from the inside on the home page and ask anything on the Rise Discord.

→ [Refund and cancellation policy](https://risefps.com.br/en/reembolso)

#### How many PCs can I use it on?

One PC per subscription. Contracts with more slots show up in Account › Devices.

### Payment and refunds

#### What payment methods are there?

Credit card and PIX. With a card, the subscription renews automatically; with PIX, it’s a one-time payment that doesn’t renew.

#### What billing cycles are there?

Monthly, semiannual and yearly. With PIX, each cycle lasts 30, 182 or 365 days. The price of each one is in Plans.

→ [Compare plans](https://risefps.com.br/en#planos)

#### Does it renew automatically?

With a card, yes, at the current price; if the price changes, we let you know first. You can cancel anytime and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. With PIX, it doesn’t renew: to keep going, just pay again.

#### What if I subscribe and change my mind?

Within 7 calendar days of your first purchase, we refund the full amount, no reason needed, by card or PIX. After that, you can cancel future charges whenever you want.

→ [Refund and cancellation policy](https://risefps.com.br/en/reembolso)

#### Are there discounts?

Longer cycles cost less per month (see Plans). Anyone with the Rise Beta role on Discord gets 25% off while the role is active. Friend referrals and creator coupons show up at checkout when they apply.

→ [Compare plans](https://risefps.com.br/en#planos)

### Results

#### How much FPS will I gain?

It depends on the PC, the game and how Windows was set up. That’s why Rise doesn’t promise a number: run the Benchmark before and after and see yours. Where there’s a power-saving plan, a heavy background program or a bad setting, there’s more to fix.

#### How do I compare before and after?

The Rise Benchmark runs the same 3D scene before and after the optimizations and compares score, average FPS, 1% low and stutters. It’s in both plans, with a Light profile for integrated graphics. On Premium, match reports measure FPS in game.

→ [How to compare before and after](https://risefps.com.br/en/suporte/comparar-before-after)

#### Does it help with ping?

Rise tunes your PC’s network and measures ping per route. Your ISP’s quality and the route to the game server still depend on your internet.

#### Are the testimonials on the page real?

They’re reports from beta players on the Rise Discord, with the date. A report is just a report: what counts is the before and after measured on your PC.
