Who the controller is
The controller of the personal data processed by Rise is RiseFPS. To talk about privacy or exercise your rights, contact us by email at business.risefps@gmail.com, through the Support page in your account or on the official Rise Discord.
The principle: what belongs to the PC stays on the PC
Your computer’s readings (CPU usage, memory, temperature, process names, detected games, measured FPS, local history and reports, Rise Wrapped and recorded clips) stay on the PC itself. None of it leaves without an action from you that clearly says what will be sent.
Data we process and why
- Account: email, password (stored by the authentication provider, never in plain text), display name and preferences. To create and protect your account and to perform the contract.
- Sign-in with Discord: Discord ID, username and email, and whether you’re in the official server and have roles such as beta tester. To sign you in, unlock the free account connected to the app and check benefits.
- Subscription and payment: plan, cycle, amounts, status, billing history and customer identifiers at Stripe. Card and PIX details stay with Stripe. To charge, issue receipts, prevent fraud and comply with legal and tax obligations.
- Connected computer: PC name, a hardware summary (processor, graphics card, amount of memory and Windows version) and codes derived from the hardware (generated with HMAC, without storing the serial number in plain text). To recognize the same PC, respect the plan’s computer limit and show the PC’s profile in the portal.
- Rise Beta: full name, date of birth, CPF (optional, only for payment and invoicing), goals, PC setup, games and the permissions you check. To activate the benefit and check the minimum age.
- Community: forum threads and replies, profile and public card (if you turn it on), friendships, presets and settings you publish, reports and moderation actions.
- Support and emails: support messages and the record of transactional emails sent. News emails only with your opt-in, with one-click unsubscribe.
- Security: IP address and technical request data, for a short time, to limit abuse, investigate incidents and comply with the access log retention required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet).
- Referrals and creators: the code used, clicks and attributed purchases, and the PIX key of whoever receives a commission.
Features that only share with your yes
These features come turned off. Before you turn them on, the app shows what will be sent. You can turn them off at any time, and turning them off deletes the data in Rise Cloud. Accounts in the protected mode for minors don’t share anything.
- PCs like yours: processor and graphics card model, memory range, Windows and graphics driver version, dual channel, power plan type, public changes applied and measured results that passed the quality criteria. Never the serial number, PC name, username, IP, path or email. Other people only see aggregates of 10 or more distinct PCs.
- Friends live: measured game, FPS and ping, visible only to accepted friends, for at most 3 minutes.
- Squad mode: the match checklist (power, temperature, ping and "ready"), sent when you click and visible only to people who joined the squad, for up to 4 hours.
- Public profile: your PC’s card on a public page, which may show up in search engines while it’s on.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell personal data.
- We don’t send process names, files, browsing history or clips to Rise Cloud.
- We don’t use the data for third-party advertising.
Who helps us operate
We use providers that process data on our behalf, under contract and only for these purposes. Some are located outside Brazil; in those cases the transfer follows the safeguards of article 33 of the LGPD.
- Supabase: database and authentication (account and service data).
- Vercel: hosting for the website and Rise Cloud, and counting of website visits and clicks (Web Analytics), with no cookie and no personal data; the browser’s Global Privacy Control signal turns this counting off.
- Stripe: card and PIX payments.
- Resend: sending transactional and news emails.
- Discord: sign-in and official server roles, when you use Discord.
- Cloudflare R2: storage and delivery of the installers.
- Datadog: technical monitoring of the service and, on the website, performance measurement only with your consent.
- PostHog (USA): product usage analytics (screens, clicks and session recording with all text and fields masked), on the website only with your consent and in the app only with "Send usage data" turned on; linked to your account code, never to your name or email.
How long we keep data
- Account data: for as long as the account exists. After a deletion request, we delete or anonymize it, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Payment and tax records: for the period required by tax legislation.
- Access logs (IP, date and time): 6 months, as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet).
- Optional feature data: until you turn the feature off, when it’s deleted.
Your rights
Under the LGPD you can confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, request portability, anonymization, blocking or deletion, find out who we share it with, revoke consent and object to processing. You can adjust a lot of this yourself in the account portal (profile, privacy, emails and devices). For everything else, including deleting your account, reach out to us by email at business.risefps@gmail.com, through the Support page in your account or on the official Rise Discord. We respond within 15 days. You can also file a complaint with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Security
We use encrypted connections, access control restricted to the backend, passwords stored by the authentication provider and two-step verification for administrators. No system is infallible; if there’s an incident that brings relevant risk, we notify you and the ANPD as the law requires.
Children and teenagers
Rise isn’t aimed at children. For teenagers, social features start in the most protected mode and Rise Beta requires being 13 or older. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe we process a child’s data without authorization, contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
